The Brush Off
While makeup brushes aren’t exactly about style, a made up face is all part of a complete, polished look. And I have found such a great buy that I want to share it with all with you! Those who have bought makeup brushes at a drug store or Sephora know that you can easily drop $18 or more, for one brush. For example, a stippling brush which I use to apply streak-free foundation goes for $35 at Sephora.
Enter Coastal Scents. This badass brush set comes with not one, but TWENTY-TWO luxuriously soft, dense, high-quality brushes for a grand total of $34.99. That works out to about $1.60 per brush! I bought my set on Amazon based on the glowing reviews, and a year later I can attest that the brushes live up to the hype. If you find yourself already buying two or three brushes, you should really consider the value of the Coastal Scents set.
By the way, are you like me, always in a mad rush to apply makeup before heading out? Do you find yourself rummaging through a pile of brushes? I have found a simple and inexpensive solution: a small container filled with rice holds my most-often used makeup brushes. Gone are the days of rummaging; my brushes are now organized, distinguishable and easy to access. Plus, they actually look pretty on my bathroom counter!
On a side note, everything I've learned about makeup application, I’ve learned from makeup guru Michelle Phan on YouTube. For great beauty product reviews, you just can’t go wrong with the adorable, Jen Chae from Head To Toe.
