PIE IN THE SKY

For as long as I can remember, I've had a love affair with fashion. It all started with with my mom who, rather than dress me in ruffly pink dresses, instead donned me in fashion forward numbers.

Case in point:

Here I am, all 2 1/2 feet of me, rocking the monochromatic look from head to toe in claret (which is just fancy word for burgundy), the color of the season. Also on-trend is the large, bold check print of my jump suit topped off with a slouchy knit hat. Thanks mom!

Yet, despite my love for fashion, writing about it was just a pie in the sky. But because of a confluence of life events, I've reached a tipping point inevitably pulling me in a new direction.

So you remember that pie in the sky? I'm grabbing a slice and biting into it.
