Date Night

On any given night in NYC, you can see them: the couple on a date. Now thanks to the proliference of dating apps Bumble, Tinder, Happn and Hinge to name a few, NYC is a dating city on steroids.

With the longs summer days and hot nights in full swing, people are done with their winter cuffing and throwing themselves back into the dating pool. So I asked my friend Alya to join me for a shoot with the theme of a summer date look.

Alya is sporting an off-the-shoulder dress really on trend these days, while I'm wearing an Australian brand (of course) known for designing beautiful pieces with intricate details. One of us has on what we consider the "first date" dress, while the other has the "second date" (or third!) date dress. Can you tell which one is which? Both are paired with two versions of espadrilles, a quintessential piece for summer.

We had an absolute blast running through the West Village magic hour with the always amazing and talented Carrie, feeling fun and flirty in our summer dresses.
