The Perfect Bootie

I’m yet again in search of the elusive, perfect bootie.  I do this every year! As the cold weather approaches, I pore through retail sites hoping to finally find THE ONE.  This fall, my search for the closet-essential bootie ended after a visit to Saks with my friend Evelyn. She loved the chocolate suede booties I first tried on, but I had my heart set on a black pair. A quick search online later helped me find a compromise: black suede.

What I love about these boots is the versatility. Suede lets me go casual with a pair of jeans or leather pants, but the mid-heel and not-too-wide boot shaft lets me dress them up with a skirt without looking frumpy.  Metal details and leather straps lend an edgier vibe. More importantly, these booties are comfy as hell.

So have I found the one? I’d say yes…at least for this year.
